NEET PG 2025 Counselling Updates: SC Hearing on Transparency Today, Dates Awaited

The Supreme Court is scheduled to consider the NEET PG 2025 answer key case on September 4. This request for an early hearing comes as the MCC is expected to announce NEET PG 2025 counselling dates around September 5.

The counselling schedule for NEET PG 2025 is expected to be released shortly by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling timeline is expected to be disclosed on or after September 5, 2025, according to sources.

The Supreme Court will consider a petition related to the NEET PG 2025 answer key on September 4, 2025. The petitioner is requesting an early hearing since the MCC may release the counselling schedule at any time.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) made the official NEET PG 2025 answer key available on August 29. The answer key only included the question ID, correct answer, and student responses. The students then filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court, arguing that the answer key's release was only a formality.

The petition argues that this action is against the original purpose behind the release of answer keys and responses to the public. They are designed to allow candidates to review their responses, identify errors, and ensure that this important national test is fairly evaluated.

The NEET PG 2025 answer key has made students angry. Many thought the answer key would come with the whole question paper. The NBE's first announcement gave hope for openness in the NEET PG 2025 application process. Yet, the board then changed its mind and said it would only share the question ID, correct answer, and response sheet.

In 2025, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be in charge of NEET PG counselling for 50% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The dates are listed on mcc.nic.in, the official website.

Four counselling rounds will be used to assign seats. The NBE has already released the merit list for the 50% AIQ seats. If you achieved the minimum score required to pass the NEET PG 2025 exam, you are eligible to participate in the counselling.

You have to fill out an online form with your counselling preferences in order to reserve a seat.
