The Adani Skills and Education Foundation is now able to award certifications for port logistics qualifications, with approval from the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET).
NCVET has recognised the Adani Skills and Education Foundation as an awarding body that can operate across India.
According to a press release, this recognition will ensure vocational training is delivered with structure, accountability, and quality throughout the country.
The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) was created to get industries more involved in the national skills system. According to a press release, recognition by the NCVET will lead to standards that align with industry needs, higher-quality training aligned with NCVET rules, and more options for students.
This vocational training group wants to improve vocational training and help young people gain skills, so they can find jobs across the country.
This October, the government started NCVET-approved courses on tea sommeliers and tea tasting to raise awareness about tea. Through its programs, the NCVET hopes to train young people and promote tea awareness in the country.
Also, the Tea Board of India formed a group to review current courses in India and overseas. The goal is to create a full curriculum that meets international standards, the demands of the Indian tea business, and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
