The University of Mumbai has postponed all exams to begin from August 19, 2025. The reason for this is a heavy rainfall alert in Mumbai. The exam will now be held on August 23, 2025, with timing unchanged. This change aims to keep students safe while keeping the academic schedule on track.
The University of Mumbai has posted a notification on its Instagram account. This message is for department heads. The director of the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) and the Directors of Ratangiri Thane and Kalyan sub-centres. It is also for the principals of all related college departments.
Background and Reason for Postponing Mumbai University Exams on August 19, 2025
Due to recent heavy rains and a red alert issued by the India Meteorological Department, Mumbai University has moved the exams set for August 19, 2025, to August 23, 2025. This change is to ensure student safety.
These exams are part of the Summer 2025 Examinations. They were first moved from August 8, 2025, to August 19, 2025, because of a local holiday. Now, they are rescheduled again because of the heavy rainfall.
