MPSC Group C Preliminary Examination 2026 Question Paper Released For Self-Assessments

The MPSC Group C Preliminary Exam 2026(2025 cycle) was conducted on 11 January 2026. 

The exams were held for the positions of Clerk-Typist, Tax Assistant, and Industry Inspector, for which candidates can now analyse the exam pattern and question types by downloading the question paper.

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) conducts competitive exams to recruit candidates for Group A, B, and C services.

• Group B Services: These are non-gazetted mid-level posts like ASO, STI, and PSI, recruited through the MPSC Non-Gazetted Services Exam.

• Group B Salary & Selection: The pay ranges from INR 38,600 to INR 1,22,800, and selection includes Prelims, Mains, and physical tests/interviews for select posts.

• Group C Services: These are entry-level clerical roles such as Clerk-Typist, Tax Assistant, and Industry Inspector.

• Group C Salary & Selection: The pay ranges from INR 19,900 to INR 1,12,400, with selection through Prelims, Mains, and skill tests where applicable.

• Group A Services: These are top gazetted posts like Deputy Collector and DSP, recruited through the MPSC State Service Exam.

• Group A Salary: Basic pay starts at around INR 56,100 and can go beyond INR 1,77,500.

• Common Eligibility: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, Marathi language proficiency, and meet the prescribed age limits.

Steps to Download from the Official MPSC Portal

• Go to the MPSC official website.

• On the homepage, find the "Candidate Information" menu and click on it.

• Select "Previous Question Papers" next.

• You can type "Group C" in the search bar or look through the list.

• Find the Prelims exam of January 11, 2026, entry, and click on the PDF icon to get it.
