The Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell in Maharashtra has updated its CET 2026 examination schedule through the revision of specific examination aspects. The testing schedule required changes because national-level examinations had schedule overlaps with essential CET testing periods.

The new schedule will cover the months of March, April, and May 2026 and will affect many entrance exams, such as those for engineering, management, law, and teaching courses.

Candidates requested the decision after they encountered scheduling problems which affected their ability to take multiple important exams which included:

  1. UPSC NDA & NA Examination (I), 2026

  2. UPSC CDS Examination (I), 2026

  3. NATA 2026 (Phase 1)

The CET Cell changed the MHT CET (PCM Group) examination window because there exists a risk of students needing to select between two essential career opportunities which would define their professional paths. The CET Cell changed the MHT CET (PCM Group) examination window to resolve this issue by excluding April 12 from the testing period.
