JMI Admission 2026: Registrations Open For Distance And Online Courses

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has commenced the registration process for 49 distance and online learning programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. Prospective candidates can submit their applications through the official JMI admission portal at admission.jmi.ac.in

According to the official notification issued by the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), the last date to apply for these undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate courses is August 10, 2026. 

New Courses Launched

This year, the university has expanded its digital portfolio by introducing two new online learning (OL) programmes:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Biosciences

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA - Online)

Key Admission Dates

The university has outlined the complete schedule for the upcoming admission cycle:

  • Application Form Correction Window: August 17, 2026

  • Admit Card Release: August 18, 2026

  • Entrance Tests (B.Ed and MBA ODL): August 22, 2026

  • Interviews (Online MBA & B.Sc. Biosciences): August 21 to August 22, 2026

  • Declaration of Merit Lists / Results: August 27, 2026

  • Document Verification and Fee Payment: August 31 to September 10, 2026

  • Final Admission Closure: September 14, 2026

Selection Criteria and Process

Admission to the 49 courses will follow three distinct selection tracks:

  • Merit-Based: Selection for the majority of UG, PG, and diploma courses will depend on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

  • Interview-Based: Candidates applying for the newly launched Online MBA and Online B.Sc. Biosciences will undergo a performance interview.

  • Entrance-Based: The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and MBA (ODL) programmes require candidates to clear an entrance exam, scheduled to take place at the JMI New Delhi campus.

Pre-requisites for Registration

The university has made it mandatory for all applicants to generate an Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC ID) and a Digital Locker Bank ID (DLB ID) before filling out the form. Candidates are advised to thoroughly check the eligibility criteria and fee structures detailed in the official JMI CDOE Prospectus before submitting their application fee.
