The Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST) in Mohali has extended the form submission deadline for its PhD program till March 23, 2026. This research program is dedicated to the Biological Sciences stream.

The program is designed for candidates with high-level national fellowships. The requirements include:
Academic Background: M.Sc., M.Pharm., or M.Tech. in Basic or Applied Sciences.
National Qualifications: Must have cleared exams such as CSIR/UGC-NET, ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF, or GATE.
Fellowship: Preference is given to candidates with an independent source of fellowship.
Those in their final semester may apply, provided they complete their degree requirements by the time of joining.
Submission: Applicants must send a hard copy of the prescribed application form and self-attested documents to the Director of INST Mohali by post or courier.
A mandatory online synopsis must also be submitted.
Fees are INR 590 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and INR 295 for SC/ST/PH candidates.
Selected scholars are on campus and will conduct their research at INST’s state-of-the-art facilities in Mohali. The research themes of the project include cancer therapeutics and drug delivery, neuro-regeneration and CRISPR-based immunotherapy.
The students who are officially enrolled at IISER Mohali will receive their final PhD degree from that institution.
