The Indian Army has released the recruitment notification for Direct Entry Havildar and Naib Subedar (Sports) posts under Intake Ser No 06/2026. This highly anticipated recruitment drive offers a direct entry pathway into the armed forces for outstanding unmarried male and female athletes across the country. No Written Exam: Recruitment Based on Sports Performance
Breaking away from standard recruitment procedures, this sports quota drive will feature no written examination. Candidates will be selected based purely on their sports achievements, performance trials, physical efficiency tests, and medical standards.

Age Limit: Applicants must be between 17 ½ and 25 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have cleared Class 10th (Matriculation) or higher from a recognised education board.
Sports Credentials: Athletes must have won medals or represented the country/state at international or national levels, including Junior/Senior National Championships, Khelo India Games, or National Youth Games.
Candidates must clear the following physical benchmarks to qualify for the sports trials:
Male Athletes: 1.6 Km run in 5 minutes 45 seconds; minimum 5 cm chest expansion.
Female Athletes: 1.6 Km run in 8 minutes.
