IIMB UG Course Details

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore is introducing two brand new four-year, residential Bachelor of Science (Hons) degrees full-time for the academic year 2026-27. 

  • B.Sc (Hons) in Data Science (with an Economics minor)

  • B.Sc (Hons) in Economics (with a Data Science minor) 

The first batch of students for each program will consist of 40 learners.

Both UG programs are Physical undergraduate (UG) programs means that the students must be present for the lectures and participate in the campus-related activities physically at IIMB's new Jigani campus.

Admissions Process and Key Dates

The application deadline was November 20, 2025, after which the selection process commenced and consisted of an entrance exam followed by a personal interview.

Entrance Exam: December 13, 2025

Individual Interviews: January 2026

Final Offers Announced: February 28, 2026

August 2026 is when classes will start at the newly established Jigani campus.

Main Eligibility Requirements  

To qualify for the program, the applicants were required to fulfill the following criteria:  

  • Not more than 20 years old on August 1, 2026.  

  • Mathematics is a mandatory subject in Grade 12.  

At least 60% in Grade 10 mathematics.
