The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) has released its recruitment notification for the post of Upper Division Clerk (UDC) for the year 2026. The online registration window is currently open at iiap.res.in and will close on June 29, 2026, at 17:30 hours.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

Candidates aspiring to apply for the IIA UDC vacancies must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree from a recognised university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications, notably MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years of essential experience in handling administrative, accounts, or stores work in an established organisation.

  • Age Limit: The upper age limit is 27 years. Age relaxations apply for SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates as per Government of India norms.

Selection Process

The final selection will be based on performance across a two-stage evaluation:

  1. Written Examination: Testing General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Awareness.

  2. Skill Test: Evaluating computer operations and typing speed.
