Haryana Board 2nd Exam Eligibility Criteria

The board has specified strict eligibility rules for the 2026 second session:

  • Performance Improvement: Regular students who appeared in the 1st Annual Exam (Feb/March 2026) and are dissatisfied with their results can apply to take 1 to 3 subjects as private candidates.

  • Special Cases (Absentees): Students who missed the first exam due to serious illness, participation in international or national sports, or cultural events are eligible.

Important Note: Students who were absent for all subjects in the first session without valid documentation may face rejection.

The Haryana Board introduced the two-exam system to reduce student stress and provide a timely opportunity for improvement within the same academic year, preventing a "gap year" for students who missed the initial exams due to unforeseen circumstances.
