The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation released the recruitment notification for 383 Non-Executive vacancies for the 2026 session. Aspiring candidates looking for a career in the metro rail sector can now apply for various technical and operational roles across the Ahmedabad and Surat Metro projects.

The online application window opened on April 29, 2026, and will remain active until May 28, 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official website at gujaratmetrorail.com, with fees of INR 300 for the reserved category and INR 600 for the General Category. 

ITI Jobs in Gujarat Metro: Vacancy Breakdown: 

The recruitment drive aims to fill the following key positions: 

• Train Operator/ Station Controller (SC/TO): 89 Posts

• Junior Engineer (JE)-Electrical/Electronics: 42 Posts

• Maintainer (Electrical/Electronics/Fitter): 252 Posts

Eligibility Criteria: 

Candidates must meet the following requirements as of April 29, 2026:

Educational Qualification: A Diploma in relevant Engineering branches is required for SC/TO and JE roles.

For Maintainer positions, candidates must possess an ITI certificate in the respective trade.

Age Limit: 

• 18-28 years for SC/TO and JE

• 18-25 years for Maintainers. 

Standard age relaxations apply for reserved categories as per the Gujarat Government norms.

Selection Process for Gujarat Metro Positions:

The selection will be based on a multi-stage process, as given below:

• Written Test: Assessing technical knowledge and logical reasoning.

• Gujarati Language Test: A mandatory qualifying test to ensure local language proficiency.
