GATE 2026 February Issue: Timing, Allowance, and Violation Counteraction

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati declares the dates of GATE 2026. The exams will be conducted between 7th February to 15th February in 2 shifts, and results will be announced on March 19, 2026.

The IIT Guwahati releases the important details about the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 that are planned to conduct on february first week. Candidates can visit the official website for details like exam schedules, application process and scribe services. 

The exam schedule is set for February 7th to 15th in 2 shifts.

• Morning shift: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm

• Evening shift: 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm

The conducting and monitoring authority IIT Guwahati alloted various centers to take the exam, for the convenience of students. The result date is March 19, 2026 for GATE 2026.

If I enter the exam late, will they still let me in? And do I get extra time for the delay?

• No extra time is permitted for late entry students.

Am I allowed to leave the examination hall during the exam?

• No, Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall once entered. They may leave from the examination hall after the exam and answer sheet submission.

Will I get a blank paper for rough work and calculations during the exam?
