If there is any mistake or difference in the GATE 2026 admit card, candidates should contact the GATE instrumentation body at IIT Guwahati without any delay and get the matter resolved at the earliest before the date of the examination.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati which is the conducting body for GATE 2026, is anticipated to bring out the admit card release date in a day or two. Candidates can download their GATE 2026 admit card from the official website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in, once it is released.
“We will announce the official website,” the GATE 2026 chairman said on January 7 in response to the GATE 2026 hall ticket release date and time.
GATE 2026 will be conducted for 30 papers in total. The test is held in two sessions a day a morning session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and an afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, on the weekends in the February 7–15 period.
As the exam dates are near, candidates should keep visiting this page for further notification regarding the admit card, exam date, instructions, etc.
Candidates should verify that the information printed on the GATE 2026 hall ticket card is correct after downloading the admit card to avoid any last-minute hassle on the day of the exam.
Name of the student and parent(s), which should be spelled identical as what was mentioned in the application form.
Any mismatch in personal details may create an issue during the time of verification in exam centre.
Moreover, candidates are advised to check whether the paper or paper combination on the admit card is the same as the one mentioned in the application form.
As GATE candidates can appear for 2 papers at max, the importance of getting the subjects reflected on the hall ticket is high.
