The Delhi University (DU) has once again extended the deadline for the highly coveted Vice Chancellor Internship Scheme (VCIS) - Summer Internship 2026. Students now have until today, April 30, 2026 to fill and submit their application forms. The previous deadline for the scheme was April 27, 2026.

This scheme offers a unique opportunity for students to work within the university's administrative and academic departments during the summer break. 

Important Notes 

  1. Internship duration - June - July 2026 (2 months). 

  2. Stipend - 11,576 / month. 

  3. Work hours - 20 hours/week (Flexible). 

  4. Number of seats - Around 200 interns will be hired.

Eligibility criteria: All students are eligible for this internship, which falls under the given criterion-

Regular students- All students in the full-time UG or PG programs of any course at Delhi University are eligible to apply.

Student is NOT eligible- Students in Final Year or Final Semester are not eligible.

Letter of recommendation (LoR): A LoR should be produced which should be signed and stamped by the principal of the college or by the head of the department.

How to Apply: A Step-By-Step Guide

The procedure to ensure a smooth application process before the link closes on the very same day is as follows:

Access the DSW Official Portal: Log on to the website of Delhi University at dsw.du.ac.in

Download the LoR format: Then, go to the VCIS Summer Internship 2026 notice on the website and download the official LoR template.

Get it signed: Ensure that the LoR is stamped and signed by the Principal/Head of your college/department (should be issued on or after the date of April 13, 2026)

The Registration Link: You will find the link to the Google form on the website (Direct Link to Google Form: https://forms.gle/5A2As4jxRh8dHNX66)

Upload Documents: You will be asked to upload your College ID Card (scanned image) and the signed Letter of Recommendation (scanned image).

Submit the application form by the end of the day by filling in all the necessary academic and personal details.
