The University of Delhi (DU) has officially commenced the registration process for PhD Phase-II admissions for the academic session 2025-26. The current stage of the admission process is dedicated to candidates who have successfully passed national-level fellowships or entrance examinations of UGC-NET and CSIR-NET.

Registration Start Date: March 10, 2026
Last Date to Apply: March 24, 2026
Departmental Interviews: March 27-April 18, 2026
Last Date for Fee Payment: April 26, 2026
Academic Qualification: A Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates).
Exam Qualification: Candidates must have qualified for UGC-NET (including JRF) / CSIR-NET (including JRF) or equivalent national exams conducted in the June 2025 or December 2025 cycles.
The fees for the program are according to the categories as given here:
UR / OBC-NCL / EWS: INR 750 per program,
SC / ST / PwBD: INR 300 per program
Admission will be based on the performance in the interview conducted by the respective departments. Candidates are advised to check the notifications on the DU Admission website for specific seat availability and departmental requirements. The candidates who have registered in phase 1 can use their existing login details to apply. Fresh applicants must create a new account using the "New User Registration" link on the Phase-II portal.
