The examination of CUET UG 2026 is supposed to take place in May 2026. The first week of March 2026 is the predicted period for the registration process to commence on the official site, cuet.nta.nic.in

Important Dates (Tentative)

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the exam and, hence, is the responsible organisation for releasing the official schedule soon. 

  • Official Notification Release: February/March 2026.

  • Registration Window: It is expected to open in early March and to close in April 2026.

  • Admit Card Release: The month of May in 2026.

  • Exam Dates: The period from May 15 to June 3, 2026, is expected for the exams.

  • Results Declaration: July 2026

Exam Details  

  • Mode: The exam will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.  

  • Pattern: It will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of objective type divided into three sections: Languages, Disciplinary subjects and General Test.  

  • Syllabus: The syllabus is based on the topics covered in the NCERT Class 12 textbooks.  

  • Eligibility: Candidates must either have passed or be currently appearing for their Class 12 or equivalent examination at a recognised board.  

  • Participating Universities: CUET scores are valid for admissions to undergraduate programs not only in all Central Universities but also in numerous state, private, and deemed universities across India.  

NTA Advisory For Applicants

NTA has given the candidates a suggestion to check their necessary documents for being valid and updated before the registration process begins to avoid issues. The documents are: 

  • Aadhaar Card: Verify that all particulars (name, date of birth, picture, address) correspond to Class 10th certificates.

  • UDID Card (for candidates with disabilities).

  • Category Certificates (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL).
