VIT Vellore University conducts an entrance exam called VITEEE for admission into its BTech programs. This exam takes place every year between April and June at various centers in India and overseas. It is a CBT test that asses students understaning in subjects physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (or Biology), English, and Aptitude. If students choose Biology instead of Mathematics, they can apply for Bio-stream programs such as Biotechnology.
The VIT Vellore exam is set for 2 hours and 30 minutes and includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs). You’ll earn one mark for each correct answer and there’s no negative marking which makes it easier for students to take some risks.
After the exam, VIT releases the results along with individual ranks that are essential for the counseling process and seat distribution.
In 2025, you can expect VITEEE to take place in the first or second week of April, similar to last year's schedule. The university typically releases the application form in November or December of the prior year and the deadline for applications is usually between in mid-March.
