In a major boost to regional education infrastructure, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has announced the opening of four new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) for the 2026-27 academic session. These schools, located in Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, are designed to enhance access to quality, centrally administered education for children of central government employees and local communities.
Parents and guardians can visit the official portal for KVS Class 1 and Balvatika registrations.
The newly sanctioned schools will initially operate from temporary government campuses until their permanent buildings are completed.
Jammu and Kashmir: KV Gool (Ramban District)
Classes: Initially starting with Classes I to V.
Temporary Campus: Govt. Middle School Parthmullah, Village Parthmullah, Tehsil Gool.
Bihar: KV No. 3 Darbhanga (AIIMS Region)
Classes: Offering Balvatika I to III and Classes I to V.
Temporary Campus: +2 Govt. High School, Kolhanta Patori, Block Hanumannagar.
Uttar Pradesh: KV Shamli
Classes: Offering Balvatika I to III and Classes I to V.
Temporary Campus: Krishna Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, Village Kabraut, Tehsil Shamli.
Uttarakhand: KV Madan Negi (Tehri Garhwal)
Classes: Initially starting with Classes I to V.
Temporary Campus: Village Jalwal Gaon Malla, PO Madan Negi, Sub-Tehsil Madan Negi.
KVS Admission 202627 Timeline: As per KVS guidelines, the admission process for these new branches must be completed within 30 days of finalising formalities related to land and infrastructure.
KVS Balvatika Registration 2026 Portal: While general KVS Class 1 and Balvatika registrations for 2026-27 have recently concluded their primary phases, these new schools will have specific admission windows following their local setup.
These institutions will initially run single sections and are expected to expand to Class XII in a phased manner as permanent facilities are developed.
