The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) releases the recruitment notification for the Gujarat Civil Service and Other Class 1 & 2 Services for the 2026-27 session. Aspiring candidates can now apply for 71 prestigious positions, including roles in the Gujarat Administrative Service (GAS) and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.SP).

GPSC Recruitment 2026-Vacancy and Salary Highlights

This year’s recruitment aims to strengthen the state’s administrative framework. Check for the vacancies with their respective salary band.

  • Class 1 Positions: Candidates selected for Class 1 roles will enter the pay scale of INR 56,100-INR 1,77,500 (Level 10).

  • Class 2 Positions: These roles offer a competitive pay scale of  INR 44,900-INR 1,42,400 (Level 8).

GPSC 2026 Exam Date: The Preliminary examination is scheduled for June 7, 2026. Successful candidates from the prelims will move to the Main Written Examination, tentatively set for October 5-10, 2026.

GPSC 2026 Exam Eligibility

The following are the academics, linguistic and age limit for the Gujarat Administrative Service Jobs.

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree from any recognised university is mandatory.

  • Age Limit: Applicants must be between 20 and 35 years old as of April 16, 2026. Standard age relaxations apply for SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, and female candidates as per government norms.

  • Language: Proficiency in Gujarati and Hindi is essential for all administrative roles.
