The CSIR-National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology released its recruitment notification (Advt No. 01/2026) for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) positions. The online application window is now open, allowing eligible 10th-pass candidates to submit their applications directly through the official CSIR-NIIST Opportunities Page.
Registration Window Now Open
According to the official notification, the online application process commenced on May 16, 2026. Aspiring students have a one-month window to complete their registration, with the final deadline for online submissions and fee payments set for June 15, 2026, at 05:30 PM.
The institute is looking to fill two permanent MTS vacancies, distributed as 01 for Unreserved (UR) and 01 for Other Backwards Classes (OBC) aspirants.
Selected personnel will be placed under Pay Matrix Level 1, with a starting basic salary of INR 18,000 to INR 56,900 per month, supplemented by standard Central Government allowances.
Educational Qualification: They must possess a minimum qualification of Matriculation (10th Standard) or its equivalent from a recognised board.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is set at 25 years as of June 15, 2026. Standard government age relaxations apply, including a 3-year relaxation for the OBC category.
Application Fee Framework
A non-refundable application fee of INR 500 is mandatory for General, OBC, and EWS categories, payable online via SB Collect. Meanwhile, all female candidates, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen are completely exempted from paying the fee.
Eligibles are advised to thoroughly review the official notification on the CSIR-NIIST website before submitting their forms to avoid rejection.
