Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University (JRHU) is a well-known and unique institute in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. It was opened in 2001 by Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Ji. The university was created to provide higher education to differently abled students and help them to build successful careers. 

It is recognised by the UGC and approved by the various national councils for its specialised programs. They offer many programs in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral courses in fields like Arts, Commerce, Science, Education, Computer Applications, and Music. 

The courses and the campus are designed to be disabled friendly. And it stands out for its inclusive education system.

JRHU Courses 

The JHRU courses are designed to gain both knowledge and practical job skills. They provide classes ranging from undergraduate studies to doctoral programs. Diploma and certificate options are also available.

Basic courses include BA, B.Sc., and B.Com degrees. Students can also enrol in B.Ed., BCA, and BBA programs. These classes build a strong base in arts, science, commerce, and computer studies.

Postgraduate studies focus on advanced learning and research. Available degrees are MA, M.Sc, M.Com, and MBA. They also offer MCA and M.Ed programs.   

JRHU Distance/ Online Courses 

The Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University recognises the fact that not all students can pursue their studies. Those who are physically challenged and those who may be geographically distant from the university’s location. To cater to the needs of such individuals, the JRHU established the School of Distance Education.

Such courses are recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), and they stick to the rules concerning distance learning programs. The university depends on printed study materials, video recordings, and Internet support to facilitate learning from home for the students.

Distance Education courses include BA, B.Com, BBA, BCA, MA, M.Com, and MBA, where the students are able to pursue their education without having to be present in the classroom every day. 

JRHU Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria are very easy and favourable for the students. The university always adopts a very equal policy for admissions so that every deserving candidate gets a chance to pursue their studies, irrespective of their disability status.

In UG courses, the eligibility required for the candidate would be having passed Class XII and equivalent from a recognised board. In programs such as BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, the basic knowledge about the subject of choice would be required. 

In the Postgraduate (PG) programs, the candidate needs to have a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate stream.

In the case of diplomas and certificates, the eligibility will be based on the level of the course. In the majority of the diplomas, the eligibility pertains to students having passed ‘10+2,’ whereas certificates may demand a ‘10th pass’ qualification. 

JRHU Fee 

JRHU Chitrakoot University keeps costs low. Their fees aim to include every student. This focus greatly helps those with disabilities. 

For the undergraduate courses, the total tuition fee payable is quite reasonable and varies according to the type of course. On an average scale, the tuition fee for the majority of undergraduate programs lies between INR 15,000 to INR 35,000 for every year of studies.

In the PG courses, the tuition fees are marginally higher because of the advanced level of teaching and research work. The approximate tuition fee for the majority of the PG courses ranges from INR 25,000 to INR 50,000 every year. Courses such as MBA and MCA could be marginally higher because of the ‘Practical’ component associated with these programs.

In the case of diplomas, certificates, and vocations, the tuition fee remains lower to support learners who may be interested in taking skills-based courses. Such courses generally cost between INR 10,000 to INR 25,000 every year based on the course period and subject. 

JRHU Admission Process 

The university invites applications from students from all over the country, including differently abled students who want to pursue higher studies in the university.

Students are able to submit their applications for admission both offline and online. The university generally announces the opening of the admission process in May or June every year:

• You should visit the website of JRHU and read the latest notice for admission.

• Carefully fill the form with the required information, such as name, course, and other details.

• Add required documents such as the marks sheets, disability card (if applicable), and latest passport-size photographs.

• Pay the application fee online or via a bank draft, as indicated in the guidelines provided for the process.

• You are required to submit the form either online or by posting it to the university’s admissions office before the final deadline.

• The university processes applications and makes a merit list according to performance.

• The selected students are communicated with via email, phone, or the university website for counselling and verification of documents.

JRHU Exam 2025

JRHU Exams are carried out in a just and student-friendly manner. The university operates on the semester pattern for the majority of its programs, and the exams are carried out biannually. It is usually the summer session that takes place in May–June, and the winter session takes place in November–December.

All the exams are managed within the campus under the supervision of experienced faculty members. The university provides special facilities and additional time for differently abled students during the exam period to ensure the process is comfortable for them.

JRHU Result 2025

The university announces the results on its official website of the university after every semester. The university makes every effort to announce the results on time so that the next levels of education for the students are not delayed.

To verify their results, the students are advised to log in to the result website of JRHU and enter their roll numbers after selecting their courses. The website provides information such as subject marks, total marks, and result classification.

The results for the summer semester are usually published in July, and for the winter semester, in January every year. In the distance education programs, results are provided online or are distributed to the relevant centres for studies. 

JRHU Placement 

The Training and Placement Cell at the Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Handicapped University ensures the smooth launch of the careers of the students. 

Students from the JRHU have been placed in schools, IT companies, banks, and social organisations in India. The university also offers training and support for those who wish to be self-employed.

The mean package offered to the students varies as per their stream and level of skills, which usually lies between INR 2 LPA to INR 5 LPA. However, the packages may vary for the students pursuing specialised programs.
